“What we will be has not yet been made known” (1 John 3:2): Technology and What it Means to be Human

Jim Stump, VP of Programs at BioLogos, hosts “Language of God podcast, and Author helps you explore whether tech is positive, negative, neutral? Who is your digital neighbor? And can there be digital love and companionship?

“My session will consider technological developments and proposals for how we might integrate technology into our lives. We’ll consider positive and negative uses, but then also note that technology itself is not neutral — it does something to us regardless of whether we use it for good or bad. Furthermore, we’ll consider the question that was asked of Jesus, “Who is my neighbor?” especially as it applies to us in a digital age. Can we love a digital companion? Can they love us back? The session will be interactive with lots of time for questions and discussion.”
